Rochester, N.Y./Washington, N.Y. – A local tech company will receive more than $1 million in federal funds.
OLEDWorks of Rochester, which manufactures organic light-emitting diode lights, is receiving the funds through the Department of Energy’s Small Business Innovation Research Program.
A joint statement from Representative Joe Morelle and Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand says the funds will be used to boost the efficiency of flexible OLED panels.
OLEDWorks Chief Technology Officer Michael Boroson says the funding will help keep the company competitive in the global economy.
