Last week in Paris, leaders of the automotive lighting industry gathered at the 2022 SIA Vision conference hosted by the French Society of Automotive Engineers (SIA). The event brought together more than 600 worldwide contributors including carmakers Audi, BMW, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Stellantis, and Volvo, as well as their lighting suppliers. Experts at the event contributed to 34 lectures and 35 exhibitor booths among the other networking and informational sessions.
The OLEDWorks Booth
In booth #S213 the OLEDWorks team presented the latest OLED lighting technologies for automotive applications, including a demonstrator of OLEDWorks’ bendable rear lighting capabilities.
The booth also featured two rear car demonstrators, courtesy of Audi. The A8 demonstrator features OLEDWorks lighting technology that is currently on the road in the recently updated A8. This model offers customers up to four different light signatures across the model range to personalize their vehicle. The A6 e-tron concept demonstrator features OLED lighting technology with a much higher number of segments than is currently on the road, enabling expanded communication capabilities.

Presenting on the SIA Vision Mainstage
In addition to the OLEDWorks booth, Soeren Hartmann, Program Manager of Bendable OLED, presented on the SIA mainstage. His presentation “Advancing OLED Lighting Technology for Automotive Applications” highlighted the key differentiators of OLED lighting technology, including design freedom and safety through communication.
We are thrilled to have taken part in another successful SIA Vision conference and look forward to sharing the OLED lighting experience with Paris again!
